Dr. Nixon is the Founder and CEO of t.Lab, a high-performance learning laboratory for families and students from pre-kindergarten through undergraduate. t.Lab was established in 2007 to increase the competitiveness of US-based students while leveraging a global leadership model. He is also the Managing Partner of CNC Group, LLC, a management consulting firm specializing in "business transformation" or turnaround management, and Co-Chairman of Acquire One, LLC, a private equity firm established to realize capital gains through the acquisition of companies offering opportunities for rapid growth or equity appreciation.
Dr. Nixon was the President and CEO of Real Times, Inc, one of the largest African American Newspaper chains within the US; Chief Information Officer (CIO) and Process Improvement Executive for Ball Park Brands (a division of Sara Lee); CIO for the Worldwide Automotive Division of ALCOA; and the Director of Strategic Leadership at American Cyanamid Company. Before American Cyanamid, he spent 19 years developing business and technology acumen within the automotive industry, including Ford, General Motors, and Chrysler Corporation.
Building on a solid foundation of an accomplished career within several industries, demonstrating proactive leadership strengths, and perfecting critical technological solutions throughout his career, Dr. Nixon is a leading force in change management and the continued emergence of digital technologies.
Dr. Nixon holds a Ph.D. in Management from Wayne State University, an MSA in Management from Central Michigan University, and a BS in Business Administration from Upper Iowa University.
Additionally, he is actively involved on several Advisory Boards and Boards of Directors, including Advocate Aurora Health, Advocate Health Care, Digigrated, and Ryan Banks Academy. He is also an associate professor at Colorado Technical University and the former Chairperson for Middle Tennessee State University's Scholars Academy.
Dr. Nixon is the author of three books including: "The Leadership of Hope", "From CIO to CEO", and "A Crisis of Competence" as well as one of the co-authors of "WOW Factor."
Finally, Dr. Nixon is committed to learning, teaching, and preparing the next generation of leaders while assisting "industry and markets" with realizing a much-improved return on investments in technology.
