Kateřina Štěpánková has been working at the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs (MoLSA) for nine years. She joined the MoLSA as the head of the Foreign Employment Department and gradually became the director of the Department of Employment and Occupation. Since December 2019, she has held the position of Deputy Minister. She focuses on employment in the full range of the agenda, such as conceptual and strategic tasks in relation to the labor market, implementation of active employment policy, including upskilling, labor migration, and employment of foreigners. The agenda also includes the implementation of systemic projects in the field of employment, which are funded by the European Social Fund, which deal with topics such as social entrepreneurship, labor market predictions, or the retraining system. Before joining the MoLSA, she worked for many years at universities (Charles University, Academy of Arts, Architecture and Design in Prague). In addition to teaching, she also held management positions mainly in foreign and study affairs.
